Erxleben professor presents her research - September 30, 2021 at 3 pm

Dorothea Erxleben Visiting Professor Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andrea Beck will give her inaugural lecture "Modern Computational Fluid Dynamics - Is data everything?" on September 30, 2021 at 3 pm. The lecture will take place in lecture hall 3, building 50, Große Steinernetischstraße. With Andrea Beck, an outstanding scientist has been appointed to the Faculty of Process and Systems Engineering for the academic years 20/21 and 21/22. The visiting professorship serves to promote female careers in the context of university teaching.

50th anniversary of the New Women's Movement, Sept. 11 and 12, 2021 2021

The two-day event "50 Years of the New Women's Movement" at the FrauenMediaTurm (Bayenturm, Cologne) will be a mixture of political and scientific congress as well as entertaining event. Three generations will debate the major issues of the women's movement: from those affected (such as Afghan Shikiba Babori) and activists to academics (such as Prof. Jutta Allmendinger and Ute Frevert) and authors (such as writer Jenny Erpenbeck).

We look - stop sexualized violence

The goal is to show that sexualized violence is not just a problem in other cities or countries, but that it is also part of everyday life in Magdeburg. To get more people to deal with the issue, the initiative shares real-life testimonials from the lives of young people.
